Addressing a memo to “The Team” doesn’t mean you actually have one. Just because you have assembled and regularly pay a group of people to show up for work in reasonable proximity to each other doesn’t mean they function as a team. This presentation looks at twelve team essentials. First, participants will rate the team they are on by the twelve essentials. From these ratings, general team strengths and weaknesses become evident and are discussed. Then each participant is asked to rate the strength of their personal orientation to each of the twelve essentials. Time is allowed for the development of basic action plans. With team and individual strengths and weaknesses identified, participants use a simple yet powerful personality assessment tool to analyze their individual leadership and interacting styles. This individual knowledge is then applied to team situations to demonstrate how different personality types interact, or fail to interact, effectively.

Objectives:
As a result of attending this session, participants will be able to:
  1. Identify team strengths and weaknesses
  2. Understand how their personal approach to the team impacts team effectiveness
  3. Apply simple but effective strategies for maximizing their natural personality-based strengths and preferences
During the presentation, lecture, humor and real life examples will be interspersed with group activity. PowerPoint slides are available to highlight key points and help maintain focus.

This program requires a full day for meaningful results.
