Since his graduation from college in 1969, Dale has formed his professional career from a variety of endeavors beginning with teaching school, then working as a bookkeeper, controller, nursing home administrator, corporate vice president and corporate president and CEO. For much of that time, on into the present, he's also been a professional speaker and consultant. His work is deeply rooted in those 40+ years of widely varied experience. When you hear Dale speak, his sense of passion will be plainly evident as he is committed to never present or consult on a topic he doesn't care deeply about.
Two basic principles are at the foundation of all of his programs. Firstly, he believes very deeply that true learning only comes from personal experience. Consequently, he strives to make information more personal to enhance internalization and supplements it with humor, discussion points and learning stimulation through sharing of actual experiences and case studies audiences can identify with.
Secondly, he affirms that without doubt, there are no 'dumb' questions. Without questions, there is no learning. Without learning there is no growth. As a result, he encourages clients not only to question him, but to challenge him as the need arises. As he notes, "If you prove me wrong, it simply means to me that my next audience or client will have a more accurate experience. I too can learn." Dale's goal for each presentation and consulting assignment is full, active engagement and participation.
